Many Different Beliefs : One World

We live in a vast world full of many different beliefs.
I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and I do not celebrate Christmas but here’s why. In Luke 22: 19, 20 Jesus commanded that we celebrate not his birth, but his death. We do celebrate the memorial of Jesus’ death by passing around the unleavened bread, which represents his body, and passing around the wine which represent his blood in remembrance of his sacrifice for us. There is also no evidence in the Bible that Jesus’ birthday is December 25th. The World Book Encyclopedia reads that “The early Christians did not celebrate [Jesus’] birth because they considered the celebration of anyone’s birth to be a pagan custom.”  Although this knowledge is know by some, the Bible urges us to think for ourselves. It instructs us the value of truth. Even though we do not celebrate Christmas is very important to respect those who do or who may have other beliefs
