MY
BIG FAT FABULOUS LIFE!
Everyday, there are stories and problems about people being "huge", being "fat". I found this
story about a girl who his big but does what she loves. Weight doesn’t get in
the way of what she loves. She is dancing and she is also exercising.
So here’s
the story:
Whitney Thore was once a dancer, but over the course she gained 200 pounds due to
condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). She took her along time to
deal with the change but now she’s happy with her body, and through her active
social life and love of dancing, she lives vivaciously and holds nothing back.
She keeps her life busy with her dance. She currently lives with her parents; she’s
working on getting out on her own as she approaches her 31st
birthday. Now 380 pounds, she has a new outlook on life. She learned how to
embrace her body and love herself and urge others to do the same. Following the
success of her “fat girl” dance videos, she launched the #nobodyshamecampaign. This is a movement that works to fight the devastating affect of body shame and promotes
self love and acceptance of who you are. The campaign encourages a person to
rise above the negativity that society imposes on anyone who is “different” and
to live there lives to the fullest no matter what the scale says. The movement
lives by the motto: “love yourself. Live fully. No excuses. No shame”!

on CNN news
"Police arrest 15 year old girl accused of cyber bulling in Florida"
Police in St. Petersburg Florida have arrested a 15 year old girl who they said sent several hundred threatening texts to three other 15 year old girls. The suspect, who CNN is not naming cause of her age, is charged with 3 accounts of aggravated stalking and one account of tampering with a witness, according to a Thursday statement from police. many of the texts were allegedly death threats.
According to police, the suspect admitted she sent some of the texts but not all of them.
They said she admitted to sending the following text: "If this isn't bullying then I don't know what is."
The suspect had been friends with the victims, but they had a falling out.
Police detectives interviewed her Monday and told her to steer clear of the victims. She continued to send threatening texts, prompting the tampering with a witness charge, police said.
In a somewhat similar case, police in Florida last month arrested two girls, 14 and 12, in connection with the death of Rebecca Sedwick, who jumped from the top of an abandoned concrete plant. They were charged with felony aggravated stalking.
Sedwick, 12, of Winter Haven, Florida, jumped to her death on September 9.
My thoughts on cyber bulling:
I think cyber bulling is wrong, its a way to put people down to make yourself feel better. There are so many ways you can cyber bully.
