You Will Know Her Name: Carrie Movie Review

What do you think of when you hear the word Prom? You probably think of one night where all of your hopes and dreams come true… Right? WRONG!
Carrie White, a 16 year-old girl sheltered by her very religious mother, isn’t the most social in school. She goes about her day sitting in the back of class and staring out windows. After being tormented in gym class, Carrie discovers that if she concentrates on something she can make it move. The girls who tormented Carrie were all punished to run laps for a week, and if they refused they were to be suspended and not be allowed at Prom. Sue one of the girls who tormented Carrie was feeling guilty, she had felt bad for what she had done and punished herself into not going to Prom, and her boyfriend, Tommy, would take Carrie. When Prom night comes Carrie is put in center stage and disaster happens. As a result Carrie starts a bloody violent rampage on her peers who have tortured her as long as she could remember.
The movie Carrie is based off a book by Stephen King, also the movie is the second remake of the classic version of Carrie made in 1976. Carrie overall is a great horror movie that deserves a Wildcat roar for three and a half stars out of five. This movie also has a great cast that includes Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Gabriella Wilde, and Ansel Elgort. I recommend that you watch Carrie as soon as possible because this movie is terrifying. Make sure you watch it with the lights off because that’s the best way to make sure you don’t sleep at night!
