Music has changed the world a lot over the years. There's many different type of genres in music. There's pop, rap, rock, country and a lot more. There are different kinds of rock also, such as Indie, punk, classic, metal and more. An example of a popular modern rock band would be Asking Alexandria, which is a lot of screaming, Aerosmith, which is an older rock band, is great, Nirvana is also popular. There's Fall Out Boy, which is punk, and The Black Keys which is Indie rock. Every band in the genre is different.
Every band has different tones and beats they like to use while they play. If you want to listen to softer rock, you can listen Fall Out Boy, The Pretty Reckless, My Chemical Romance. However if you want heavy music, you can listen to Crown The Empire, Ice Nine Kills, or Suicide Silence. Some of these bands scream and most people can't understand them.
A lot of people think rock music ended after Aerosmith, Kiss and AC/DC stopped playing, but that's wrong. Rock music will never end; it will change a little but never fade away. Rock will live on, and people will always love it.
Rock music, no matter what type, always has a purpose to their music. Their lyrics are about their lives or just life period. They will have songs that are just fun songs, but most of their songs are about something meaningful. Rock has been in the world for decades and a lot of people will love it. If you have never listened to it, don't judge it until you try it. It won't disappoint, just live every genre of music.
