An Astronomy Exhibit That's Out of This World

               

     On Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Eastern, there was a press conference held interviewing science teacher, Mr. Thomas Hefner, and a few students about the new Eastern Guilford Astronomy exhibit.
     He explained how he got many grants from different companies supporting this effort and earned about $3800 in funding from different organization's, one being Lowe's hardware store. There are many of these exhibits all around the school, but the majority of them at the entrance of the football stadium. The others are scattered along the campus leading to the main entrance of the school.
     Mr. Hefner began planning and starting this project in January of last year and has finally had the pleasure of finishing it after a lot of hard work. There are about 12 displays with planets on them and two with belts. He says that everyone pitched in to make this possible, including Math, English, Art, Carpentry, Photography class, foreign language, and of course, Science classes. They made everything from the posts to the pictures to the information on the panels. It all comes together to make one awesome exhibit. Everything was well thought out, such as the location at the entrance of the football stadium for anyone and everyone who wants to visit and learn about our solar system in a fun, interactive way.
      So next time you're at a football game, or if you want to learn more about the solar system, I would strongly recommend you check out this wonderful new exhibit no other high school in this area has anything as amazing and cool as this. This Is A Poem

This is a poem I made for you.
To show that my love is clear as the sky is blue.
Our love is deeper than any sea.
And flows like a Sundays summer breeze.
This may not consistently rhyme.
But it's coming from my heart, not just my mind.
My mind dazes off when I'm wrapped in your arms.
My heart skips a beat when you don't respond.
I never knew I'd feel this way.
I fall for you harder & harder everyday.
Although we've made many mistakes.
I wouldn't have had it any other way.
They've paved the path that leads to us.
And now were here, & we fight and fuss.
But it couldn't kill our love even if it was hit by a bus.
My love runs deep.
So I know I can be a selfish Queen.
But I couldn't picture with anyone else besides me.
Your mine, and that's something no one can deny.
All the irrelevance, let it stay irrelevant.
You got me, & I've got you.
They need not know about what we do.
I love you so much, I cant stand it.
All my choices have left me where I'm standing.
With my love always, if that's aright?

Nine Lives

     Have you ever wondered why cats have nine lives? It is the superstition that cats have nine lives, because cats can survive falls from high places with few, if any, injuries. They are able to survive accidents, other animals and ourselves would have died from. With that being said, are you a religious person? I know. A random and unrelated question, but I do have my purpose.

     We say cats have nine lives. This is just a theory. It take a very open minded person to be able to comprehend it. So before I open it to you, I would like to inform you of this. My mother was recently put on life support for the second time. My mom has expierenced many near death experiences. Car accidents, hospital visits and surgeries that could have and should have killed her. For some reason, they never did. Now I'm not saying all accidents that hurt you become the nine chances/lives because a scrap or a cold is not you fighting for your life or you coming close to death. My theory is that maybe the idea of cats having nine lives. Goes for people as well. I am a religious person. I am a Christian and apart of my theory involves my savior, Jesus Christ.

     I have this idea that maybe...

     God gives everyone nine chances at their life whether we know it or not. He has given my mom four chances already in my perspective. She is in the middle of her life, currently at 36 years old. Now this may not seem sensible to you. Apples & Oranges

Apples are a delicious piece of fruit
That comes in three colors
Red, yellow & green

Oranges are a juicy piece of fruit
They will forever be orange
Round, big & small

Everyone is different, as apples are to oranges

Some drop out & some go to college
Some do and some don't play sports

Everyone's taste is different

What is going on with Chris Brown AKA(Chris Breezy)? Is he going to do a new album? What is doing in his life?

The song "Loyal" is a big hit. His manager said "Loyal is a #1 hit that has the best feeling in the world".(MTV.com) His album is finally in stores as of September 16, 2014 Not only that, but his album has other songs like "Fine China".

We're now seeing all of Chris Brown's newest things in live, but if he would stop doing dumb things, he wouldn't be in jail. I hope that he learns that he is a role model for many young people and will straighten out his life.

Malala the Brave

      It's Tuesday afternoon October 9, 2012. You are a girl in Pakistan. You are on your way home on a bus with your friends after you've finished taking an exam. A masked gunman is aboard your bud asking for your name. when you acknowledge yourself, you get shot in the head and 2 of your friends are injured as a result of the shooting. You are Malala Yousafzai, an activist for education and women's rights.

      Yousafzai was immediately taken to a Pakistani military hospital. From there, she was taken from hospital to hospital in the country until she transferred to Birmingham, Britain, where Malala and her family now live.

      This was almost 2 years ago. In the present, 10 of the people who are part of the TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan) we're taken into custody by the Pakistani government. The men are being interrogated and will soon face an anti-terrorism court, but this might be a long process in Pakistan's legal system. The arrested men were working under a man named Mullah Fazlullah, who is the chief of the TTP. He said there was a list of 22 prominent activists and on the list among many was Malala.

      Since then, Malala has become famous worldwide, being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. On July 12, 2013 (Malala's birthday), she gave a speech to the UN to call for worldwide education; Malala received several standing ovations as a result of her 1st public speech since the attack. The UN dubbed the event "Malala Day". "I don't even hate the Talib who shot me. Even if there is a gun in my hand and he stands in front of me, I would not shoot him."

      "Malala Day is not day. Today is the day of every woman, every boy and every girl who have raised their voice for their rights."

     Nepal is a landlocked sovereign nation located in Southern Asia. The area of Nepal is 147,181 square kilometers. The population of Nepal is 27 million. Nepal is the world's 93 largest country by land mass. Nepal is a neighbor country of china and India. Nepal has a world tallest mountain that mountain name is mount Everest they called Sagarmatha. Kathmandu is the nations capital and largest metropolis.

      Nepal is a smallest country. Nepal has 75 district and 14 zone. Nepal is 80% agricultural country. Most of Nepalese people occupation is farmers. Nepal has a lot of mountain most of country know Nepal by Mount Everest and Gurkha army. English was trying to captured the Nepal but they were not a succeed. Nepal is a poor country. Nepal is helped by many country. Nepal is undeveloped country. but it is a small and beautiful country. Most of the Nepalese people religion is Hinduism.

     Nepalese people celebrate many types of festival. Their main festival is Dashain, Tihar, and Teej. Last couple of years ago Nepal was ruled by king. Right now, they don't have king. Nepal is ruled by a prime minister now. Some of the place of Nepal their don't have electricity and education. Nepal has many rivers but they don't produce electricity because of debt problems. Some of the Nepalese people go to a foreign country for make money. They don't have a lot of companies in Nepal.
