Halloween Eve,
the night where all of the ghouls and monsters get ready to yell BOO! On
October 30, 2014 our school presented BOO: Scenes from Halloween, a play that
showed different peoples nights on Halloween. Students put on eleven different
scenes all taking place on Halloween night. There were scenes that involved
friends telling scary stories, kids “trick or treating,” and even a wife plots
to kill her husband. The play was spectacular, it showed the spirit of
Halloween, and got everyone ready to go out and have a great day of the dead!
Here is how some of the scenes went:
Scene 1: Knock Knock. This scene starred Molly Joyce and
Jeremy Peterson as a husband and wife. The wife, who loves jokes, told her
husband a knock knock joke. The joke ended up being “boring” to the husband,
the wife gets upset and gives the husband a Halloween scare of his life!
Scene 7: A Very Sweet Treat. In this scene Marsha is back
and she has new targets, three trick or treaters played by Deamora Benson,
Tonya Dobzenski, and Brenda Martinez-Lesso. The three trick or treaters are
walking by a graveyard cautiously, as they do they spot a ghost, who is Marsha,
and they run away and drop their candy. Like I said it works every time!
Scene 11: Over Done Halloween Decorations. A wife, played
by Faith Huffman, tells her husband, played by Da’Sean Lott, that their
Halloween decorations were scary enough, but he didn’t believe her. When a little
witch, played by Jasmine Chandler, gets the scare of her life.
In the end the real victim was the husband, after the witch casts a spell on him.
