Basketball season is approaching fast, and we need get behind our Wildcats as they start their season. The Wildcats have a great team this year consisting of 12 guys who are committed to playing Wildcat basketball. The team will have seniors Quayson Williams, Tré McLean, Kalin Cotton, Maurice Brown, Chandler Spencer and also a pretty good freshman in Montez Venable.
Coach Spinks is getting these guys prepared mentally and physically by conditioning them very well and getting their minds trained to do the right things in the game as the season comes to an open. The first game of the season is on November 18th against Western Guilford, but this is not a home game for the Wildcats. The first home game isn't until November 25th when the Wildcats welcome the Pirates of Page High School. This is the biggest game of the year for the Cats due to the great effort given by the boys last year forcing (said to be the best team in Greensboro) Page into a overtime. Therefore, we need everyone to come support those Wildcats as they strive for a perfect season. #HereComesEG

EGHS WILDCATS WRESTLING
I want to inform the student body of our wrestling program here at EGHS, as well as provide a preview of the upcoming season. We have five returning state qualifiers that include Tristan Zobro, Jesus Ruiz, Willie Bivens, Tim Johnson, and Roderick Porter. Two of them placed at the tournament. Tim Johnson took fourth and Wille Bivens took first and is now a 182 lbs state champ. Jesus Ruiz and Roderick Porter both went 1-2 at the tournament and Tristan Zobro went 0-2. Our program last year advanced past the conference to the state playoff round where they got past Cleveland High School with a tight score of 33-32 and then went on to lose to Union Pines High School with a score of 36-33. Union Pines went on to take third in the state. We are looking forward to see our Wildcats full of state qualifiers and state champs this year.

In 27 years, there would have been almost 7 more Presidents in America, so why should one President be so selfish? This is how the people of Burkina Faso feel about their lousy, President for a long time and are demanding for a change fast.Compaoré took power in a 1987 coup d'état that killed the long-time friend of his Thomas Sankara, (who was the ruler of Burkina Faso at the time). Once he was out of the way, Compaoré wasted no time taking power. While he has been President, Burkina Faso's population has ranked among the worlds' poorest and has remained so with widespread illiteracy (not being able to read/write) and a large, uneducated middle-class.
"It has been 27 years and 15 days—exactly since Blaise Compaoré has been in office," says Boubacar Bah, a 41-year old auto mechanic who had shown up outside the Burkina Consulate in New York with a megaphone. "I am hoping for a change."
The Burkinabé military struggles for control of country, using gunfire to clear thousands of protesters from the streets, so far as killing one. Meanwhile the UN (United Nations) and the AU (African Union) have condemned the seizure of power in Burkina Faso by Colonel Isaac Zida Saturday. The AU (a union consisting of 54 African countries) has given Burkina Faso 2 weeks to return to order or face severe penalties. The military promises to soon drop the reins of power and give it to civilian transitional government.
"The army does not want power. But the anarchy needs to stop. Any violation will be punished with the utmost energy," Colonel Zida's spokesman Auguste Barry commented.Now that Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou (wah-gah-doo-goo) is back into state, the AU is struggling to find a temporary leader for the broken country until a full-time leader is brought in order.

I think Beyoncé and Jay-Z should stay together because they have a child together. Some people don't think about their child or children. Blue Ivy needs both of her parents. She needs her mom and her dad everyday. However, Blue Ivy doesn't need to see her parents argue fight all the time. It takes a toll on a child's life.
They know that they can be apart from each other because their love is endless. I hope they have more happiness than arguments!
Why POP is Great!!!!
There are so many different genres of music, and I could never pick a specific one. I probably have a different one for whatever mood I am in, but Pop is in my top 5 choices. Pop has evolved so much over the years and some don't like the change, but that's ok because everyone has different tastes in music. We have to learn to accept all types of music.I think pop is great because it can be so many things. For instance it can fit whatever mood you're in and somehow leave you feeling better. Some Popular Boy bands that sing pop are one direction and 5 seconds of summer(pop punk).Taylor swift is also leaving her country music background and moving to style "modern pop". A favorite song of mine by one direction is "steal my girl" Its a news song and is very popular. "Amnesia" by 5 seconds of summer gets me emotional and is one of there best songs. Of course, I need to include Taylor Swifts single " Shake it off " because it broke the charts. You should check out these three songs , hopefully you want be disappointed I see why I say "POP is Great "

The Jonas Brothers were a big hit back on Disney Channel years ago; they were a band of brothers named Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas formed in 2005, but got their big break on Disney Channel in 2008 airing their music video Year3000. They've toured with Hannah Montana a.k.a. Miley Cyrus, starred in Disney Channel Original movies Camp Rock and Camp Rock, had their own tours, and even had a show on Disney called Jonas. These guys really hit it big and everyone girl was star struck, but these heartthrobs had their final tour early 2013. Unfortunately, fans were disappointed to hear the guys breakup in fall of 2013 and cancellation of their new album; at least their song Pom Poms was released before the rest of the album was cancelled. Although they had their differences they continued to be successful.
Married to Jonas is a reality show mainly focusing on Kevin Jonas, the oldest of all the brothers, and his beautiful wine Danielle Jonas and their new baby girl, Alena Rose. Joe Jonas has recently t a concert with his ex Demi Lovato. I mainly liked the video because it showed people being reunited with their loved ones.

Jennifer Lopez a.k.a JLO is an amazing singer, dancer, and actress, but I love JLO because her voice is not just beautiful but the type of music to go along with, it is amazing. I like her song "Same Girl" because it mainly talks about how throughout all the drama and tabloids she remained the same person since "Jenny From The Block" and that is an amazing quality to have in a person. It shows that they aren't influenced as other people, and there should be more people like that.
Bonus Track: "This Is My Time" by Raven Symone
I fell in love with this song and the remix mainly because she is talking about how its her to show people what she is made of, that she is learning more herself, and that dreams really do come true. Even though the song was made in the early 2000's I think it's still hot because of the message she is portraying in the song. I think anyone who listens to it will love it as much as I do.
